Working together for children with cancer
Dana-Farber/Children’s Hospital Cancer Care, one of the world’s best pediatric cancer centers, is known for quickly translating scientific discoveries into new treatments.
Our team includes many of the world’s most experienced pediatric cancer and blood disorder specialists as well as international experts from every pediatric medical subspecialty, including cardiology, neurology, neurosurgery and endocrinology, among others. Skilled pediatric oncology nurses, Child Life Specialists, resource specialists and psychosocial experts also provide care. Our team’s comprehensive experience and knowledge is unparalleled in the United States and gives young patients the best chance at survival.
Our single focus is caring for young patients and survivors of all types of childhood cancers and related diseases. Patients and families always come first—each treatment decision is made by group consensus and takes into consideration the patient and family’s medical, physical and psychological needs.
For patients with complex or relapsed conditions, we offer innovative clinical trials unavailable at many other centers. Findings from our clinical research program continually advance the treatment of childhood conditions in the following areas:
- Hematologic Malignancy
- Solid Tumors
- Neuro-Oncology
- Stem Cell Transplantation
- Non-Malignant Hematology
- Palliative Care
- Radiation Oncology
- Survivorship
Dana-Farber/Children’s Hospital Cancer Care is also deeply committed to providing long-term care to the growing population of childhood cancer survivors. We hold multiple survivor clinics to survivors address any late-effects or long-term health concerns resulting from their original diagnosis or treatment.
