"Sam really is incredible; the number of people he has trained is extraordinary," said David Nathan, MD, Dana-Farber president emeritus at the award presentation. "I've known Sam for nearly a half-century, and I can't think of anyone who shares my values or the values of [ASPHO members] more."
Lux accepted the award April 9, at the 23rd ASPHO Annual Meeting in Canada. "This means more to me than any other award I've received," he says, "because it reflects my successes as well as those of the men and women I've had a chance to work with during the course of my career." of my career."
